The annual sophomore-freshman party was given Oc ober 1 0, and turned out to be a great success. both financially and socially. The class decided early in the year that they would start saving im- mediately for their annual picture and their finan- cially tough junior year. TTie sophomores, with the aid of the Jazz Orchestra, sponsored a very suc- cessful dance after the Perris vs Elsinore basketball game. The sophomore class sponsors were: Miss Ciampaolo and Mr. Smith.

Esleston. Boscocci. McKenzie. Under the advisorship of Mr. Hughes and Miss Hutchins, and the guidance of a fine corps of offi- cers, the junior class completed a successful year. With Bill Gibbons, president; Hercules Bouris, vice-president; Anthony Fish, secretary; and Bob Stumpf, treasurer; the class built up a good finain- cial standing through its concession rig ' hts at sports events and the annual class play. June Mad. a three act comedy presented by th- class, which proved to be a success, both liin.incially and dra- matically. The profits ga hered thrcughout the year were spent lavishly on the Junior-Senior banquet held at the Woman ' s Clubhouse May i9th.

At the beginning of the year ihe freshman class consisted of 72 studen ' .s, which made it larger than any of the other classes. At the time of this writing, only three freshmen had dropped and eight .had been given transfers. As a whole the class has had a very high attendance record. Under the guidance of Miss Selby and Coach Kahm the group has had a very interesting aad ac- tive year. On September 1 2 they elected their class officers as follows. A freshman initiation assembly amused the rest cf the student body very much, on Sap ' -emb r 26, and the class took ac ' ive part in all the maga- zine, scrap metal and rubbi h drives in which the school participated. After paying for th;ir annual picture they agreed to invest the remainder cf the money in their treasury in War Savings S.amps.
