This has been a wonderful and fantastic year. Some of the events that happened in our world not only affected our town, but also our school. In November, President Reagan was re-elected to office to continue to be a successful leader of our country. Pnother incident occurred. The Statue of Liberty is only three years away from celebrating her 100th birthday, but in order to make it, she needed our help, lit our school all of our organizations raised money to donate to The Lady. Millions of other organizations donated money for this special purpose. UJith lots of donations and contributions, the Statue of Liberty will remain to stand in New Vork. In the summer of 1984, our new track was on its way to being a vital part of our extracurricular activities. The money raised for the track came from all sorts of funds and donations, although this year we weren't able to compete on our new track, we are grateful to all the worthy contributors. The year also brought many new, wild, but enjoyable fashions and fads. Two of the most favorite fads, are the lovable Cabbage Patch Dolls and the many talented break dancers. The famous Cabbage Patch Dolls not only were adored by children, but of people of all ages. Rreak dancers made great hit movies and videos that everyone enjoyed watching. flnother wonderful event that took place this year was the heart-warming album U.S.fl. For flfrica. fill the famous singers and song artists joined each other to make an album that not only affected them, the United States, but also Ulrica. U.S.fl. For Ulrica achieved o magnificent goal, by raising money for all the starving people in Cthiopia. The album raised over 25 million dollars to be donated to flfrica. Ves, this year has been quite a year. The world has changed, and we have all changed as individuals. UJe will never be the same, but we will remember this year, because UJ€ (lf ( TH€ WORLD, W€ RR€ TH€ CHILDRCN.
