The Elon Olympics While the international games were taking place in Seoul, Korea, Elon sponsored its own version of the Olympics. Five teams representing East Campus, West Campus, North Campus, commuter students and faculty staff graduate students competed in fun events such as an anything goes competition and aluminum can stacking as well as serious track and pool events. With each team representing a foreign country and sporting a different colored bandana, the Elon games took on a festive air which not even a rainy opening ceremony could dampen. North Campus, representing Sweden, won the Elon Olympics, followed by commuters representing Italy, West Campus representing Japan, East Campus representing Spain, and faculty staff graduate students representing the U.S.S.R. Members of the Student Union Board took part in a rainy opening ceremony. 14 Student Life
