Homecoming 1988 “Pride in our past — pride in our future” was the theme for Elon’s Centennial Homecoming. Many alumni returned to campus during the weekend, marveling at changes and improvements made since their days at Elon. The theme, chosen by a committee of students, was designed to invite alumni reminiscing while encouraging students to plan and dream for life after Elon. A crowd of enthusiastic students cheered the Fighting Christians on to a 44-27 victory over Presbyterian. 10 Student Life
