THURSDAYS ARE SPECIAL Weekly Coffee is more than free food Free coffee every Thursday morning — what a deal! But Col- lege Coffee, created by President J. Fred Young about 5 years ago, provides more than refreshment. According to Director of Develop- ment Tim McDowell, it also pro- vides Elon students, faculty and staff a chance to socialize informal- ly outside the classroom and the office. College Coffee also provides campus groups an opportunity to showcase programs such as Study Abroad and CROP Walk. Candidates for campus, local and state offices find Coffee is a great place to campaign. The Coffee is held each Thurs- day at 9:30 during a one-hour break in the class schedule. 16 A Way of Life
