TOLLS AGAIN on this yearns On the exterior one sees an Elon very much like the one of five, ten, or fifteen years ago. Although the campus is expanding each building retains its colonial character and blends neatly into the traditional landscape. Just as the face of America has changed over the past 200 years so has the face of Elon changed through the years. However, the thread of tradition still remains as the unifying and inspiring force in each. The changes will not stop here but wiU continue to take place. And still the stateliness and dignity of the school remains and so it always must. Just as our nation stands on what was in the past and the improvements thereof, so will Elon always thrive. 13
