HONOR COUNCIL STUDENT COUNCIL The Honor Council, which tries cases concerning violations of the Honor Code and Campus Code, maintains a significant phase of Student Govern- ment at Elon. The Council promotes Christian living in all functions of college life. Two seniors, two jun- iors, one sophomore, and one freshman serve on the Council. The Student Council is a part of the Student Gov- ernment. Its duties are to try misdemeanors violat- ing the student constitution of the college. Two men, two women, and one student from the student body at large are elected annually. INTERDORMITORY COUNCILS The Interdormitory Councils represent all dormitory students. The Councils ' main functions are to make the rules which affect the conduct of the students in the dormitories and to serve as a court to try violators of the dormitories ' rules and counsel with them.
