Sarah Wallace: What ' s in a name? That which we call a rose, By any other name would smell as sweet. Sarah is not only an officer, but a harried member of the secretarial group ' s Inner Sanctum. She rushes from prayers to typing, wide-eyed and looking worried to death. Her en- numerated woes are misleading — under the chatter she is really quite efficient, especially when she inspects the juniors — complete with a motherly air. Although she is very busy, a few hours each week are spent at canteen. She has failed once this year — in her endeavour to be called Lynn , but the nickname wouldn ' t click.
