CLASS HISTORY On August 26, 1957, sixty trembling freshmen entered ECHS. With the help of our class advisors, Miss Pope and Mr. Stamp, we elected Dale Runyon, President; Gary Inskeep, Vice-President; Sherry Clark, Secretary and Treasurer; and Marianne Kleen, Reporter. After the death-defying initiation, we : became full fledged members of ECHS. | On September 4, 1958, we confidently entered ECHS as Sophomores, happy that we made it. Our class officers were: Dale Runyon, President; Ellen Benesch, Vice-President; Jo Anne McAlister, Secretary and Treasurer; and Ethel Bleichner as Reporter. We received third place on our float at Home- | coming and honorable mention on our stunt. On August 28, 1959, we entered ECHS as upper-classmen. We elected Jim Windish, President; Dan Boatwright, Vice-President; Elmer Stambaugh, Secretary; and Walter McKown as Treasurer. We received third place on our float at Homecoming. On November 10, 1959, under the direction of Mrs. Monroe, we presented our Junior Class Play, The Bus Stops Here”. We were pleased to see that it was a success. With the help of our advisors, Mrs. Monroe and Mr. Himmel, we presented the Seniors with the Prom entitled Harbor Lights . We entered our Senior year numbering fifty. For the class officers we elected Dan Boatwright as President; Dale Runyon, Vice-President; Margaret Danz, Secretary; Walter McKown, Treasurer; and Robert Murphy as Reporter. Our class advisors were Mr. Cady and Mrs. Baughman. To start off the year, we had the annual Senior Steak Fry at Bradley Park. Then came Homecoming at which we received first place on our float and third place on our stunt. During the year we worked hard earning the money we would need to go to the Ozarks. We are eagerly waiting for the Junior-Senior Prom and finally Grad- uation after which we must leave ECHS and take our place in this world around us. Freshman Chefs?
