H.S. , attended their first day of school. At our first class meeting of the year, we elected Mary Miles, Pres- identp Randy Snider, Vice-President: Bob Whitney, Secretary-Treasurer: and Mary Lou Endres, Reporter. Class advisors were Miss Iean Risen and Mr. Rolland Cady. On August 28, 66 of the 69 returned as sophomores. At our initial meeting on September 10, we elected officers. They were: Mary Miles, President, David Inskeep, Vice-President: Bob Whitney, Secretary, Louise Bourgoin, Treasurer, and Carolyn Sparks, Reporter. Since we were allowed one money making project and one party a semester, we chose to have a scrap drive from which we made S69. 35. For our partywe went roller skating at Grand Roller Rink in Gales- burg. We also entered a float in the Homecoming Parade with the theme Defeet to Galva. We received honorable mention for it. The second semester a new student was added to our roll. For our money-making project this semester we sponsored a Bop Hop. This was very successful, and everyone enjoyed a good time. We are all looking forward to next year when we will be juniors. Our sponsors this year were Mrs. Clara McCraith and Mr. Gene Hamman.
