IN FRONT are Managers: Gene Gelman, Tom jones. This year the team did fairly well in the events. They had two small meets with Farmington and Knoxvilleg the biggest meets being at the Galva Relays, April 21 at Galva, and the Blackhawk Conference track meet also at Galva on May 10. At the relays Endres got third in the 880 and Kratzer placed fifth in the pole vault. At the Blackhawk Endres got second in the 880, Kratzer fifth in the pole vault, Lane fifth in high hurdles, and Bollinger fifth in discus. Lane and Endres were the on y returning lettermen.

The team played Bradford for our last home cgame of the season. After the game the seniors sponsored a dance in the gym. At ll: 0, Mr. Schaff crowned Deanne Patterson Queen, and Gene Endres Kin . There attendants were: lst Sharon Hoffmann and Dick Nealg 2nd Nancy Hahn and Bill Colgan, 3rd Judy Bain and jim Forney. A huge crowd was present to enjoy the music of Woodie Wor1ey's Orchestra.
