Prophecy Good evening ladies and gentlemen! This is station ECHS-TV operating on 1955 kiloclycles from the Palace Theatre in Ehnwood, Illinois. This program is brought to you through t e courtesy of Endre's Trucking Company, headquarters located on the th floor of the grain elevator in Edwards. For speed call Gene. Now back to our telecast. Tonight we bring you the world premier of the new western hit, 'The Cowboy and His Guitar, starring Larry Coon, better known to you in this area as Zip. The premier has been scheduled for Elmwood High School. Our TV cameras are placed on either side of the grand marque. The streets of this small town are simply mobbed with cars and people from near and far. The towns- people have certainly fixed this little town up so that it would look like a miniature Broadway. As time grows near for the star of the eveninlg to appear, Zip's old class-mates begin to arrive. Per aps you would like to meet some of is former friends. First, I think we should introduce our Master of Ceremonies who is Mr. Richard Neal. Dick is now president of the D and N Chain Super Markets. Dick and his wife and two children were in town this weikend and Dick said he would be glad to be the MC on our TV broadcast tonight. Take it away, Dic I Good evening ladies and gentlemen! Here comes Mr. and Mrs. Larry Doubet. Mrs. Doubet is the former Evalina Cochran. They are celebrating their ninth anniversary today. Mr. and Mrs. Doubet are living on a farm near Hanna City. Now, driving up in this new 1965 black Buick convertible, is David Shindly, who is now head coach at Bradley University. The Braves have just finished an undefeated season as you can readily tell by the smile on David's face. Now we will transfer to Camera B at the West entrance of the theater where Mrs. james Nixon, the former Sandra Coon, will continue. Sandra and jim now live in a new home on Lake Braken. Sandra gets full benefit out of the basement where she teaches dancing lessons. One of her pupils is the oldest child of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Stalter. Mrs. Stalter is the former Deanne Patterson, who was the president of the class their senior year. Take it away, Sandy! Thanks Dick! Good evening everyone! The people are beginning to file in this entrance. I see some familiar faces, and some that are not so familiar. Entering now is James Forney, who is head of the State Soil Conservation. jim stopped here enroute to New York City for a Conservation Convention. Behind him is Miss Judy Bain, who is part of the great team of Keyser and Bain, psychologists at Mayo Clinic. judy brings joy's regards as one of them had to keep the hospital runnintg. Now entering is Mr. Enfield. Jack, according to last week's LOOK is in the midst o develop- ing a new iet propelled car to be called the Hiney-Mobile. Good luck, jack! Now I' l turn the microphone back to the MC at the front entrance. Thank you Sandra and now for a few words from our sponsor to whom we are grateful for making this telecast possible. As some of you probably know, Mr. Lane is the head mechanical engineer of U. S. Steel. Em and his family are here contemplating the building and construction of a toll bridge over Kic apoo Creek. Entering now is Miss Darlene Crowe who is head cook of the Pere Marquette Hotele in Peoria. She has been head cook for over seven years, getting her start in the cafeteria at Caterpillar. Behind Darlene is Nancy Hayes who just landed at the Elmwood Airport. Nancy was steward- ess on the plane which brought Mr. Coon and the cast of the movie here for the premier. Now we'll go to the east entrance where Sandra Clark is at Camera C. Sandy is here on leave of absence from her duties in the radar towers at LaGuardia Airport of New York City. OK, Sandy-- it's all yours! Thank you, Dick. Before we meet some of the people coming into the entrance here l'd like to tell you that I received a telegram from Lanice Rodgers who sends her regards. It was impos- sible for her to be here as she is somew ere over the Pacific Ocean enroute to China. She is the stewardess of American Airline plane--the Flybird.
