Where'S my hossl Class Historq On August 21, l95l, 41 green freshmen started their first of four years at Elmwood Com- munity Hiih School. Our first class meeting was held in October, our class advisor being Miss Phyl 's Terry. We elected the following officers: Gene Endres, President: Deanne Patterson, Vice-Presidentg and Janice Rodgers, Secretary-Treasurer. In the fall of 1952, we were back as sophomores. Our class now numbered thirty-nine. The officers for this year were: Gene Endres, President: Larry Doubet, Vice-President: and Florence Wolschlag, Secretary-Treasurer. As we entered our junior year we also entered our new hi h school building. Our class now totaled thirty-five. Class officers elected were: Nancy lglahn, President, Bill Colgan, Vice-President, Larry Doubet, Secretary-Treasurer, and Dick Neal, Reporter. A new project of our class was the or anization of a school paper, The Echo, which we published once every six weeks, with Sue help of Mrs. Morse, advisor. Our junior Class play, The Ruggles, ' was held November 20, which was a big success. In December, our class rings arrived. During March we started making plans for our junior-Senior Prom, which was April 30. We chose as our theme Hawaiian Paradise. We are now looking forward to next year when we will be seniors. Officers for our Senior year were: Deanne Patterson, President, jim Lane, Vice-President: and Larry Coon, Secretary-Treasurer. Reporter was Sharon Hoffmann. Activities for this year included: Steak Fry -October 5, 1954, freshman initiation, October, Christmas dance, December 23. In january, a bobsled party at Sandra Coon's. When we were writing our essays for the Lorado Taft Essay contest we visited the Gales- burg Library on March 10. Mrs. Bickford and Mrs. Hart chaparoned. The Senior Class play was held March 25. The name of our play was Buy Jupiter. lt was a big success, even if a few things went wrong. The Alumni Banquet was held on April 9. The old graduates and the new ones got together and had a fine time. The big event for most of the senior girls who belong to FHA was the trip to St. Louis for the weekend, April 22-23. At the Sheraton hotel, we had a wonderful time. The junior-Senior Prom was beautiful, it too was a big success. The name of it was Moonlight Gardens. M V15 are now looking forward to Baccalaureate on May 22, and then to our Graduation on ay .
