26 THE ULMUS 4 unior Class History ROM those who started together in the first grade, but eight remain -Ruth Eslinger, Edith Worley, Nina Threw, Agnes Kelly, Jeanette Coolidge, Myrtle Flickinger, Minerva Carlson and Ruth Shively. In the course of orur educational career we have added several to our num- ber. In the grades Lorena Fleisher, Pauline Jar1na.n, George Fleisher, Lela Murphy, Louise Macy, and Vernon Winn joined us. Ruth Shively was absent for a periosd of three years, but returned in the eighth grade. Upon entering High School several others joined us. Among these were Chester Patton, Jessie French, Iona Rambo, Etta Vohla.nd, Carl Pat- ton, Leonard Windish, Opal Lindzey, Harold Oakes, and Everett Dawson. During our Freshman year we lost two of our members, Nellie Gibbs and Everett Dawson. VVe returned our second year to find We had lost Carl Patton and added Zelda Perill to the class. Harold Oakes was absent this year but expects to return as a Senior. Vernon Winn left us reduc- ing the number of boys to three. Those who are in the class at p1'eSGnt are 'Jeanette Coolidge, Zelda Perill, Lela Murphy, Agnes Kelly, Etta V011- land, Myrtle F lickinger, Ruth Eslinger, Louise Macy, Edith Worley, Iona Rambo, Nina Threw, Jessie French, Minerva Carlson, Pauline Jarman, Opal Lindzey, Ruth Shively, Lorena Fleisher, Leonard Windish, George Fleisher and Chester Patton. . This year, for the first time in the history of the school, the Juniors have been -called upon to help put out the Ulmus. We consider this a great honor and are doing our best to prove ourselves Worthy. VVe are now prepared to make our final step in High School-to rank as Seniors. R. S. ,24 unior Picnic Supper About 5 o'clock on the afternoon of October 4th, the Junior Class and the faculty gathered in Mr. Baine's woods for a picnic supper. We played games until 6 o'clo4ck and then everyone enjoyed a delicious sup- per consisting 'of sandwiches, piokles, salads, angel-food cake and fruit. We didn't feel like taking much exercise after supper so the boys built H fire and we sat around it and sang schoorl songs. We returned to town about 8:30. . ' O. L. ,24
