Sparked by Seniors Brian McKenna and Bob O'Leary, the Elmont hoop men proved always a determined opponent. High scoring Larry Mulligan and fast moving Frank DePaolo and Mel Matza also starred for the Elmont five. Captains Brian McKenna and Dave Tucker led the team. The team was coached by Mr. VVilliam Snizek.

A Student vs. Faculty basketball game and the Varsity Drag were the activities presented by the Varsity Club. The officers are President, Brian McKenna, Vice President, Bob Macumber, Secretary, Howie Schweitzer, and Treasurer, Oakley VVood. Mr. Palau and Mr. Voelger are club advisers. The team compiled a seven win and six loss record. This energetic squad showed fine examples of teamwork and sportsmanship.
