How well worth the effort to be finally on top. Four years of tedious study, intermingled by the new possession of maturity and an experience of the world are the merits of our very first Senior Class of Elmont. For two years we reigned over class activities. Slightly bewildered at the prospect of being leaders in a new school, we used our past experiences to guide our elections of class officers, and immediate- ly the newly formed junior Board started prepar- ation of the year's activities. Our first net result was the ordering of class rings. The month of May brightly arrived and .J 10 carried with it our first Junior Prom, Stardust The gym magnificently transformed into a heaven ly delight, was the setting for Elm0nt's proud couples attending. Once again the flying time brought the first Senior Class into effect and with it our first football season, pep rallies and Fall Dance. After many of Elmontis college-bound students completed the mind-searching college board exams the future was indeed brightened by the Senior Ball-the very first. Not one Senior attending will forget the wonderful time had at Aloha', on April 18.
