The league was highly successful and provided many thrills for bowlers and spectators. This year's champions were Frankie Bonsignore's Marvels who defeated Jimmy Sullivan 's Royal Masters in the grand finale. The Marvels - Jerry Kerwan, Francis Doran, Jimmy Flynn, Patsy and Frankie Bonsignore, ont- rolled the warlike Tomahawks, the spunky Lucky Strikes, and the Royal Masters to take all the scoring honors. In one gala night the Marvels rolled the high total of 2247 and the high game of 832, while Jerry Kerwan chalked up a neat 559 for three games. Earlier in the campaign Kerwan marked 234 for high single. Two pin classics were held this year. Bob Sullivan captured the mythical M31Jl6lll3St61',, crown in the Singles Tournament with a 571 total. Regina Schneck and Bolton Terwilliger won the Mixed Doubles Tourney in a close contest for the second consecutive year. Good sportsmanship was shown by all entries and the matches were witnessed by a majority of the students. fJl.Th.7'gg T ll C 1 9 4 2 ECHO
