Newly Organized Student Council Heads Activities The extra-curricular activities at Elmhurst High School maintains an excellent balance between the social and the academic life of the students at Elm- hurst This variation in the student ' s school life was not only designed for benefit of the student, but also for the benefit of the school. These activities seem to improve the student ' s attitude toward his school and the school ' s attitude toward the student. Many of these activities resolve around a spe- cific subject or course. On the other hand, several of the activities are based on the idea of helping the community and preparing the student for when he becomes a member of this community. The newly organized Student Council does an effective job of this preparation. 29
