PHYLLISN IELENE GENTH wou d like ti be a secretary. S c participates in G.A.A., Red Cross Club, and Home Ec Club, She worked on the decorations for the junior prom. Phyl earned her E in G.A.A. PAUL, FRANK GULYAS, a quiet but busy boy, won a special award in U.S. History from Iohn Ford. Some of his. activities are GUS Club, E. Club, Phi-Chem, and intra- mural basketball. He is planning to be a mcteorologist for the Air Force. ' Page Twenty-eight The toast of our class, our Prom Queen, MARY LOUISE FERREY, is senior class secretary. Mary Lou sports an E in band, is vice-president of band and of F.T.A., secretary- treasurer of Phi-Chem Club and president of GUS Club. Mary Lou intends to study elementary educa- tion. VIRGINIA L, FORD would like to work in an ofhce and then go to collec. In addition to sewing, Virginia's interests in school are Red Cross, Commercial and GUS Club work. A very active member of the band is MAE LOUISE GEETING. Mae played the marimba and the trom- bone and earned her letter in band. She belonged to the Red Cross, Commercial, and GUS Clubs. Mae wants to become a bookkeeper or a secretary. ' I IDA C. GRAVES has worked in the cafeteria for four years. Shc belongs to the Red Cross and Com- mercial Clubs. Ida wishes to at- tend business college. A gal with lots of personality is MARLENE IOAN HAMILTON. Proxy was active in Red Cross and Rifle Clubs. Marlene is going to join the Navy, Waves, that is.

Charlie was in charge of the coke machine his senior year. He wants to study some branch of engineer- ing. CHARLES H. CRAWFORD belongs to the Phi-Chem, RiHe, Red Cross and Booster Clubs. Dick's desire is to get his wings. RICHARD L. CUNNINGTON was ADVANCE agent for home room I6. He also joined the Red Cross, GUS anil Phi-Chem Clubs. Navy blue and Alaska are all LARRY L. CURTIS desires. Curtis has :in E in intramural. He belongs to GUS Club, Phi-Chem Club, and Red Cross Club. After a hitch in the navy, Larry plans to go on with F.T.A. A well known fellow in our class is HAROLD R. DAUTZ. Harold is active in Red Cross, GUS, and Rifle Clubs. He was on the glider com- mittee for the prom. He is also a 4-H member. He is quite actiye in' P-hiXChem, GUS, and Red Cross Clubs. Bob has a letter in intramural basketball. NVorking on the .AINLIBRUM kept him busy the last period this year. VIRGIL CURLEY, who goes by Virg around old E.H.S., plans to take up drafting after his drafting is taken up. Ht-'s a member of Phi- Chem, Red Cross. and GUS Clubs. XVorking on the ADVANCE and playing intramural basketball take up Virg's spare time. A real cute gal at I'..H.S. ls PATRICIA LEE CURTIS. Stinkey belongs to F.T.A., Red Cross, Com- mercial. GUS, and Home Ec Clubs. l'.1t's ambition is to get a M.R.S. Clegfcc. Isn't he lucky? He attends E.H.S. tl half-day only. That ll:l2 bell means freedom for DALLAS E. DODANE. Dallas is a member of the Phi-Chem Club and expects to be a toolmaker. Our curly-haired SALLY ANN EXVING is striving to be a secretary or a teacher. She holds important positions in Speakers' Stand and N.F.L. She also belongs to G.A.A. and the .-INLIBRUM staff. She is a very active twirler. Page Twenty-seven

A well known gal in our halls is NORMA IEAN HEER. She is One of the treasurers of the senior class. Norma is active on the ANLIBRUM staff and is secretary of F.T.A. She belongs to G.A.A., Red Cross, GUS, E, and Booster Clubs. She was a prom attendant last year and also chairman of the decoration com- mittee. Teaching is Norma's am- bition. A very active fellow in -l-H work is RAYMOND W. HENRY. He won awards at the State Fair, Pur- due Roundup, and Friends of the Land. Raymond plays intramural basketball and is on the softball team. He belongs to the Red Cross Club. To be a good old farmer is his ambition. A budding actor is IACK E. HUGHES. His lifc's ambition is to become -- a man. Iack's activ- ities have been N.F.I.., Red Cross Club, and the Speakers' Stand. lack also worked on the prom committee. Working in the office and in the library was Nancy's contribution to Red Cross Club work. GUS Club and ADVANCE, as well as prom committee work, kept NANCY CAROL KISSINGER busy. Nancy wants to be a secretary. IOYCE ANN KNEPPER has been very active in band her four years at Elmhurst. She is a mem- ber of Red Cross, Home Ec., and GUS Clubs. Ioyce served on the prom committee. Her ambition is to be a florist. fun .lib PAUL ll. HENRY was quite active in Red Cross, Rifle Club, and intramural basketball. He worked on a prom committee and played on the softball team. XVhen Paul was asked to look into his future. he said, It all depends on Uncle Sam. The little gal with the beautiful liait is CAROLYN MARIE HER- l4l'zR. commonly known as Curly. Carolyn was president of the Home lic Club and a prom attendant. She 'belonged to Red Cross and Commercial Clubs. She says she liasn't decided her future ycl, but thinks she'll get married. Our chief hall monitor is MARY ANN KlMMl'il.l.. Slit' belonged to the GUS, Phi-Chem, and Commer- cial Clubs. Mary Ann was very active in E Club and Red Cross Club. Her main ambition is to be a private music teacher. ROLLAND A. KLOER, who is a hall monitor. has earned his E in Red Cross. He is a member of l'hi-Chem and Rifle Club. Rollie also helped on the prom committee. llis ambition is to become a com- mercial pilot. THOMAS R. LADEN is a mem- ber of Red Cross Club and Phi- Chem Club. He plans to be a chemist. for which he prepared by taking chemistry and physics both in his senior year. He belongs to F.T.A. Tom can always be dis- tinguished by his crew cut and broad smile.
