students learn to relate human relations week was held from feb 18 to 21 with the combined efforts of the black affairs and reli- gious life committees of union board, the purpose was to promote a greater understanding between men and women regardless of race. a seminar on human sexuality was the first topic, don shaw, a noted speaker and a panel challenged the participants on their views of sex. roy innes, national director of core, congress on racial equality, spoke the following night, other topics of lecture and discussion included in- terpersonal communications , race relations on the college campus , and counciling for women in rela- tionship to men . both the elmhurst college choir and the college ' s black choir pre- sented special programs to conclude the week. 24

american film theatre bach ' s uncle collective paster display diverse movies evening with Vincent price mark twain these were just a few examples of the programming offered by this committiee of the union board un- der bruce bauch. under the new leadership of alien etheridge, c-i life arrived at the realistic approach that it would at best reach only a sizeable minority of the student body, this new premise allowed them to pur- sue a more esoteric and hence, a more expansive variety of program- ming, they attended a convention in houston, texas in an effort to get the first pick of the talents which would be appearing in the midwest during 1974-75. so far, the elite corps of effete cul- tural snobs on campus can anticipate such fare as a mime troupe, a classi- cal guitarist and a continuation of the american film theatre. cultural life presents cultural life spotlighted representatives of all factions of the performing arts. ken bidle alien etheridge ron goetz mark kyle bob marovitz pat mauer andy prinz jeff smith jim sorensen geri yaccino 26
