SllFlINlIlIl4DllR llilll ASS fDlFllFlN9llE5llRS N SEPTPMBER the Senlors elected the fmllowlng class officers Clare Bonebrake pres ldent Frances Schnurlger vlce presrdent Else Nllsson ecretary Anna McKay treasurer M155 Mlller was chosen advlsor Thrs was lndeed a promment group Clare Bonebrake not only performed hxs dutles as presldent very well but was a leadmg member of Elma s splendld basket ball team He made the All Central League and the Second All Southwest Team as forward whxch ns no small honor He took part m the S mor plav and proved hxmself a good actor Frances Schnurlger was promlnent as captam of the Girls Basket Ball Tearr Besides this she was a member of the Elmanac Staff and of the Honor Society As 'ldVCI'IlSlng manager of the Senior pl y she proved herself a very effxclent per on Else Nilsson s posltlon as edltor m chlef of the Cloquallum kept her very bu v but she was an actlve member of the Honor Socxety Anna McKay was treasurer of the Glrls Club and president of the Honor Soclety Mlss Miller drd very much to make the Senior Class of 1930 the best to Graduate from T lma m the hxstory of the school She helped them nn so many ways that xt would be hard to tell them all The Semors whxle thelr class average was not as hrgh as that of some of the prevlous classes kept thelr grades well up The three hxghest were Anna McKay Valednctornan had 19 As and 12 Bs Violet Martin Salutatorlan had 16 As and 1: Bs Else Nllsson had 13 As 16 Bs and 1 C There were eleven of the Senlors who were members of the Honor Society They were Else Nllsson LOUISE Dyer Vlolet Marrm Anna McKay Benn Russell Marjorie Cooper Mary Wheeler Frances Schnurlger Mlldred Bray Clxtton Borden and Maaune Dye The Semors declded to use the new form of commencement m whlch the class 1 self gave the program There were four speakers They were Anna McKay Valedlctorlan Violet Martm Salutatorlan Clare Bonebrake chosen by the class and Benn Russell chosen bv the faculty They chose as thelr topic School Llfe whlch was dlvxded lnto four ubnects each speaker takmg a separate phase of xt The Senlors gave their annual assembly on November 77 1979 It mcluded a short play I1 dance by Ellzabeth Vaughn songs by a double quartet e vocal solos bv oe VC oodford a readmg by Alleen Chamberlain and muslc by Vance s Vagabonds Altogether the Semor year was a very enjoyable one Aslde from thu the fact ha been well recogmzed that the Senlors have hved up to thexr motto Semper P'ld8llS Always baxthfull very well The class tolors were blue and sxlver and rht tlass flower forget me not ll 1 1 wiv ! up rx fvr ' ff' YV Hy -' -v 'viwy pvy1'fr y '5V1 y' ! -X 'T - TT . y l .nllllun ll'l,l, l l-all-ly ll l l l J LL ':' l al 1 lg!!
