C ASS PROPHECY As we the Sen1orClass of 1953 stand onthethreshold of graduatron we look down the corrrdor of trme to a door marked Future For many years we have journeyed toward Ih1S door wrth an rndomrtable sprrrt that has enabled us to cope wrth every obstacle that has la1n1n our pathway We have clrmbed the h11l of knowledge and have left our pr1nts rn the sands of t1me And now wrth consternatron we pause before proceedrng determrnedly mto the realms of the unforeseen If by chance rt were possrble for us to defy nature s laws of trme and to behold our destrnres we would doubtless be astonrshed at that whrch awarts us Nevertheless we shall attempt to go 1nto the far reaches of trme and come up wrth what we procla1m as our class pro phecy As the door rs slowly opened we see our classmates engaged rn dr verse occupatrons Some have been successful rn farmrng others rn law medrcrne teachrng and prrvate busrness Wesee many as house wrves and homemakers The wheel of fortune has V1S1ICd some who we notrce are well on therr way to hrgh polrtrcal offrces whrle ad verse clrcumstances prevarl w1th others May we have the foundatron of character so well formed that when we place our feet strarght and sure and l1ft our heads rn the golden sun and breathe the arr fresh and pure we can endure the hardshrps and accept the good fortunes wxth no weakenrng 1n character!
