An ln- teresting family ls having a hard time of lt due to the social ambitions of the mother. The attempt of the maid to interpret the wishes of her mistress leads to the use of a wheelbarrowln lleu of a tea cart. When Mr. Prescott's rich aunt, Miss Cain, arrives lncognlto, the family pretend poverty. The lively French salesman and the Able Miss Cain straighten out the family and Leaper Prescott ls again glven his rightful place as head of the family. 46

It ls founded on the theme that people seem different when they are not ln the same homogenous group. But deep down lnslde, as Randolph Fltzhugh sald, they are alike. Lucy Lee comes up from the deep South and works her charms on the North- ern boys, much to the disgust of their respective dating partners and her cousin. A plot develops that puts Lucy Lee where she belongs and the glrls back with their old dates. Randolph Fltzhugh is ready to take Lucy Lee back down home where she belongs. 47
