Mr. Mason Bates, our sponsor, was injured ln an automobile accident early in the year. All the boys were glad to see Mr. Bates hack in school at the end of the year. Mr. Frank Allen and Mr. Clyde Huddleson were the substitute sponsors and agricul- ture teachers . Throughout the year the F .F .A . has made and sold hog waterers. They also judged livestock and went to contests at Normal and Pontiac. They had lessons in Forestry and planted some very nice trees on the school grounds. An ln- teresting family ls having a hard time of lt due to the social ambitions of the mother. The attempt of the maid to interpret the wishes of her mistress leads to the use of a wheelbarrowln lleu of a tea cart. When Mr. Prescott's rich aunt, Miss Cain, arrives lncognlto, the family pretend poverty. The lively French salesman and the Able Miss Cain straighten out the family and Leaper Prescott ls again glven his rightful place as head of the family. 46
