Cla 5 H1 tory In the fall of 51 the halls of Ellsworth Hxgh School were filled Wlth green freshmen numbenng about 120 We elected Danny Kees Dune Pnne Al Huber and Sandra Kms to 061699 Jerry Bartlett and Patty Jo Hovde represented us m the Student Councll Bet on the Panthers was our Homecommg slogan for our float Little Red Rxdmg Hood furmshed the plot for our Halloween stunt Jane Ames was chosen to represent us at the Semor Sno-Ball and chose Gene Schommer as her escort Miss Fischer Mlss Hoyer and Mr Wall were our advlsors Begmnmg our sophomore year we elected Jerry Erxckson Sally Stoetzel Barbara Klem and Jlm Kenall class offxcers Jerry Bartlett was re-elected to the Student Councll and Vlcln Earney took over Pat Hovde s D0 We were well represented at the Homecommg festlvltles as Vlclu Eamey was queen and chose Jnm Kenall to be the kmg Patty Hovde was an attendant Stew the Cardmals was the slogan for our Homecommg float Sandra Kms was elected to represent our class at the Semor Sno- Ball and chose Al Krause as her escort Mxss Flscher Mrs Vergm and Mr Wall advxsed us that year Elmer Dxercks was elected class president our Jumor year and Bob Hulverson was our VICE-Dl?Sld9I'lt Ruta Murphy and Peggy Qumn also held ofhces that year Jerry Bartlett and Sandra Kms represented us at the meetmgs of the Student Councll Al Huber and Sandra Kms relgned as kmg and queen at the Sadle Hawkms Dance Rita Murphy and Carvel Hase were attendants at the Semor Sno-Ball Our Junior class play 'Three Fmgers m the Door was dlrected by Mr Marvm Muller and presented on Aprll 12 Our Prom Theme Star dust, was an appropriate settmg for our beautiful May 7th formal dance George Barton and his orchestra furnished the muslcal settmg and the decorations punch and mood were set bv many other students as well as bv a vast majority of the Jumor class Betty Selfert was chosen Queen by Kmg Flmer Dlercks Bob Hulverson chose Ruta Murphy to be an at- tendant Thus our Jumor year came to a close m a very dreamy mood Alan Krause was elected president our semor year Clmton Holst was our vlce-president Carol Olson held the post of secretary and Jeannie Anderson was our treasurer Mera Swanson and Jerry Bartlett were elected to represent us at the Student Councll Roger Glrdeen Al Krause and Darlyne Hmes were among the roy alty at the Homecoming festlvltles Dave Place and Carol Olson reigned as Sno-Ball kmg and queen 'Turn Back the Clock was the tltle of our great hlt semor class play directed by Mrs Wlberg The pantomime of This Old House won for us a pnze at the Hallowe en party And so the Class of 55 looks back over these never to-be-forgotten memones classes plays dances and the best years of our lwes.
