He is nog now known f-1 to us by the name of just Angelo Forte, but Pvt. Angelo Forte. 1 We was known bv his friends as HJaggersn. He olayed 1 'masketwlla and 50 Oiballa and was known forhis outstanding T popularity. 1 He will be missedby everyone and we wish him all the luck 1 in the world. 1 - 1 Probably the most imoortant event of the sophomore class, if was their halloween party, October, 30, lUe2. Prizes were Y awarded For various costumes, ani everyone snent an enjoyable e 9V9UlUE1dancing. The gymnasium was attractively decorated with1 halloween GQSlgUGS. A clear profit of 523.13 was made. i The chamnion basketball players of the school were the l girls for lUE. Their final victory was over l2B. The i chamnion team was made up of: Rita Dihardo, Lula hae Lucy, W and Virginia Yankoski as guards, and Olga Haczuzak, Mary 1 Delegram, and Vonnie Herron as forwards. 1 Seven members of the class belonged to Forensics: Hit a e Dehardo, Glenn Clutter, Helen Nerashoff, Marth Grace Barnard, l lhrjorie Zamiska, Olga Uaczuzak, and Ruth Hufilan, the latter Y four receiving metals. Two other girls, Lois Dennick, and 1 Bernice eurger also received m tals for last years work. a Another important member of the class was August Greyhosky'a who contributed many drawings lor the Sdxolastic Banner, l When a few members of the soohomore class were asked if l they liked their sophomore year, and what their favorite subject, was,---well here are their answers. l 293923225 5322952 Pk Yes, I enjoyed my sophomore year, my only reason being x Y! 1? 9 1 1 1 t'at my d.assmates had out me on an equd. and understandiqg basis, which is the desire of any student. But my most pleasant e memories, I hooe to recall, will be in my homeroom of the lOth l grade. e My favorite subject was Business Arithmetic because I expect the knowledge that I gained this year will enable me to qualify', for a pasition that hasroom for advancement. l QSQESS Eupar 1 To me my sophomore year seemed no different from the preceeding school years.
