66666666 Intramural Athletics The word intramural is the name that has been coined to apply to all athletes of a nonvarsity nature The scope of its work takes it everywhere within the high school, the goal in view being to reach every student who is interested in any form of sport. Said Aristotle so many years ago, 'The principle aim of gymnastics is the education of all youth and not simply that minority of people highly favored by Natures' Intramurals came into prominence after 1925 with our high school making a fair bid this year, We have included in our program basketball, foulfshootingg volleyball and soft ball. Intramurals are governed by a council consisting of a intramural manager and two members from each class under thc supervision of Mr. Adamson and Mr, Holland. The plan for competition is as follows: 10th, llth, and 12th grades compose the senior groupgh?th, 8th, and 9th the Junior group. Thus far along, the 12th grade holds the edge in total points scored with 9A section repeating in the Junior group. The foul shooting contest was a walk-away for XO 6666666666 the Di Nardcs, Arco scored 39 out of 50 foul shots, with Gilbert running a close second.
