.4'4f',fQ41L4'Z4'4I14f'4' S. 4411 S j S Q Girl Scouts The Girl Scouts were organized by Miss Elizabeth Roach in September of 19364 There are now 16 members. Miss Elizabeth Roach is Captain. Miss Marge 0'Brien past lieutenant, Betty Harris Treasurer, and Eleanor Homme Secretary. Mary Lois Wightman is leader of Patrol 1 and Maida Lowther is leader of Patrol 2. The meetings are held weekly. Council Mrs. Charles Richardson Mrs. Ebenezer Jenkins Mrs. Fred Graham Mrs. Robert Lowther Mrs. Edward Milby Boy Scouts The Boy Scout of Ellsworth was organized in 1933 by Mr. Samuel Law who was transferred to Heilwood There- fore leaving Mr. Victor Fabiszeweski and Mr. Louis Angotti as the leaders of the Scout troop. Mr. Victor Fabiszeweskis the Scout Master, Mr. Louis Angotti-is the Assistant Scoutmaster, and William Koblarchick is the Junior Assistant Scoutmastor. The Scout Troop belongs to the Washington-Greene County Council. There are twenty-five members in the Scout Troop which is divided into three patrols. f The three patrols are: 1. Eagle Patrol - Robert Hahn, Leader. 2. Fox Patrol - James Homme, Leader. 3. Deer Patrol - James Huber, Lender. The Ellsworth Scout Board is composed of the following officers: Mr. Kiefer-Programs and Activities. Mr. Lloyd and Mr. Woods-Educational.

Roscoe De Busk was the first affirmative speaker and Jerome Saxe the second speaker. Willa Lovett acted as alternate for the affirmative. Helen Rodgers and Letitia McNulty alternated as the first negative speaker. Thomas Lloyd was the second negative. Mr. Merlin Beck ably filled the coaching posi- tion. The debating team reached the semi-finals and vied for fourth place at the Washington County Tourna- ment at Claysville. The prospects for next year are bright as all members will be experienced in the field of debating. Girls' Glce Club Seven years ago, Miss Eloise Bates organized the Girls' Glec Club. It has steadily increased in size every year, until now there are forty-seven members. This year, the Glee Club presented a Christmas Candlelight Service and also had the honor to sing at the Washington County Teachers Institute. The club won first place in Class C of the County Music Contest. The regular meetings are held each Tuesday and Thursday. The Club is still under the direction of Miss E. Bates.
