Junior Class History N In the fall of 1935 there were many gay boys and girls approaching with confidence a new chapter of their lives. They were the Freshmen of yesterday but are the Juniors of today. The members of the class put aside their childish pranks and began to take interest in their class and the school. No officers were elected the freshmen year, but the class became acquainted with the faculty and classmates. During the sophomore year the following officers were elected: President - Thomas Lloyd Vice President - Peter Patasky Sec. and Treas. - Helen Rodgers The class colors chosen were orchid and gold. The class motto decided upon was Deeds not Words . A Halloween Dance, which proved to be a success was the o class first social activity. xi, At the beginning of the year 1937, the sophomore class advanced to the rank of Juniors. The class colors and b u motto of the preceding year were retained. lgf The Junior-Senior Prom which is annually given as a farewell dance for the seniors was held April 29, 1938 at X , the Bentleyville gymnasium. The music was furnished by . Stan Vinton and his orchestra, Nl After graduation a trip to some point of interest is a Nm, tradition of the school.
