Senior Prophecy ' 1 4430 :JQU ff. if Y ' 5 S 4-in 'W C: 'KThis is station C. D. Ballgame.-40 on ycur dial, bringing to you highlights of the sports world. 'tWell, folks, it certainly is a beautiful fall day, and there sure is a lot of excitement in the air here at Forbes Field. Yes, sir, the Pittsburgh Pirates and the VVashington Sen- ators are preparing to fight to the finish at the 1980 IfVorld Series gameg and it certainly is a great pleasure for me, your old friend, Sunny Liz Helm, to bring to you a throw by throw account of the game, with little bits of this and that as to what's going on in the crowd. Spectators are filing to their seats now. Down in section A we see Lucky Kingsi' box. occupied by his wife, the glamorous divorcee. the former Helen Collier. Through the cloud of smoke I can barely make out who is sitting beside her. Ah, yes, folks, her guest seems to be the famous composer, Eleanore Large, who has just won universal acclaim for her A Minor Concerto in C major. I can't quite see What is happening down along the third base line among the VVashington fans, but there's great confusion. Now I seep everyone is turn- ing to watch the entrance of Miss Pat Perle Mestau Crabtree. the VVashington socialite hostess. As I see her now, she is laughing with her companion, Jane Garrison, the first U. S. ambassador to Brooklyn. The place is really beginning to fill up. Here comes Carol Fiske, the wife of General ----------- , mobbed by het' six little boys in sailor suits. You know, these children have been the subject of much discus- sion as they were the first sextuolets ever born. The game is about to begin, and during the short lull I'd like to say that this broadcast is coming to you through the courtesy of the Margot School of Charm and Beauty. Slim McCormick guarantees to roll the pounds off Without pills, diets, or massage! Her method: Tapeworm. VVait a minute, word has just come that Miss Bartley has rocketed into the stadium wall, crinkling her bright. shiny '48 convertible. Fortunately, she was not hurt and her only C0111- ment was, You needn't park it james. There's only a few minutes left now, so I'll just briefly review the celebrities here, Susan Reed has slid down the North Pole, where she is pho- tographing the new ice age. Carley Jo Leon- ord, famous mountain climber, has just returned from climbing Pike's Peak, having got her ex- perience on Negley Hill. I see over here, Poloing Polly up from Polovia. still dressed in boots and saddle. Shouts of 'Adown in front are echoing from a box in the balcony where we see Catherine Engelder, first woman editor of Esquire 'fHear that ovation for Ralph Kiner as he hobbles to the field, supported by his attractive wife, Lucia Long. He takes a bow and now the players are taking their places. l22l 5 'fs A132 A A, J :vsp 1,21 I 4 f 'Y' ,sf lxl 650 5
