Beginning in August, the Orange a.nd Black Band started preparation for a season full of activities. Under the direction of DeRoy Rogge, in his first year at Ellis, the band first appeared at Hutchison Fair. Two other appearances away from home were the KU Band Day and and Armistice Day football game at Wakeeney.
