School presents “Cinderella” as musical On November 24th and 25th, the Ellin- wood High School music and drama de- partment combined to present the musi- cal “Cinderella . The Rodgers and Hammerstein classic takes place in the 12th century, depict- ing the life of a poor kitchen maid whose wishes come true as she weds the prince. Musical direction was in the hands of Vern Fryberger, while the costumes, staging, and technical aspects were han- dled by Wilbur Hogg and Leon Sobba. Mr. Fryberger felt that the students showed good participation, and there-

Stage crew helps out with school productions This year’s stage crew was 10 mem- bers strong and was sponsored by Leon Sobba. They were responsible for the light- ing and sound for many of the high school’s productions, including the musical, concerts and special pro- grams. Mr. Sobba said he felt that stage crew is “one of the most responsible groups in high school. These kids take on a lot of responsibility with little or no recognition at the time. 1. 2. 3. 4 5.
