German I and II and Latin I and II were taught by Vickie Moreland. In German I and Latin I. the students learn the basic sentence structure and how to speak and translate the languages. In German II and Latin II. they learned the cases and about the culture and geography of their land. a. JoEllen Klepper and Zane Kramp work busily on (heir assignments for Miss Moreland. b. Miss Moreland, points out humorous facts of interest to the class. c. Lori Wilson tries to help Joyce Grant understand her assignment d. Mr. Flax taught Shorthand I and Typing I. In Typing I students learned the basics in typing. They gained speed and built confidence in their abilities. Shorthand I learned brief forms, principles, derivatives, and phrases. Mr. Flax and Mr. Vogt shared in teaching Advanced Typing and Shorthand. They worked on a simulated business called Serendipity. a. Sue Menges and Joyce Gram learn typing techniques in Typing I. b. Mr. Flax radiales friendliness in class. c. Jane DcWcrff and Penny Kowalsky read in Shorthand II. d. Terri Sparks writes her lessons in Shorthand I. e. Jacque Tyler and Joan Thomas work in Advanced Typing. 15
