''QuiMne t Bteeses'' Pwtw OU tfL BCu uCfUJet “Summer Breeses” was the theme for this year’s Junior-Senior Banquet and Prom, held May 5, 1973, in the high school gym. A large seagull centerpiece highlighted the decorations which also included a sand- box, murals and a mirror ball. The banquet-type dinner consisted of roast turkey, mashed potatoes, corn and relishes with Waldorf Astoria cake for dessert. After dinner music was provided by the EHS Singers. Patty Robins, President of the Junior Class, served as Mistress of Ceremonies. Kirk Kimble, President of the Senior Class, gave a response to the welcome speech. Principal Tom Hedges gave the evening’s address entitled “Summer Breeses.” Sponsors for this year’s Junior Class were Mr. Leon Sobba and Mrs. Nancy Converse. Other officers of the Junior Class are: Joanie Feist, Vice-President; Lisa Wirtz, Secretary-Treasurer; Jackie Bowman, Kim Schartz, and Judi Bartels, Student Council Representatives. Sponsors for the Senior Class are: Mr. Mike Westerman and Mr. Jim Lambert. Other officers are: Denise Lloyd, Vice-President; Claudia Reser, Secre- tary-Treasurer; Ron Moos, Kathy Bartels, Larry Sticnkey, and Lonniw Bowman, Student Council Repre- sentatives. Factory from Lawrence provided the music for the prom.

' ' Ui$t@eto Eyptess The Ellinwood High School Gym was the scene for the annual Christmas dance sponsored by the Kayette Organization. The event took place December 9th from 8:30 PM to 11:30 PM hosting the entire student body. The theme for this year’s dance was “Mistletoe Express.” The decorations included a red and green train and a mass of mistletoe everywhere. The festivities included a visit from Santa Claus who talked with many Kayettes present. Music for the dance was provided by “Collosus.”
