2 SAM C. STITT Superintendent ERHS Administration Works to Improve School 'Today you are what yesterday you were and tomorrow you will not be less. I give you this quotation as a basis for confidence in yourselves from which we can forge ahead. We have had our problems, our heartaches, and our disappointments; yet when we look back we see we have come a long way in reaching toward our goals. HARVEY DeWERFF Director, Board of Education Sam C. Stitt, Superintendent LeROY E. ZAHN CHARLES SESSLER Treasurer Trustee N. J. KLEPPER Clerk ASEL W. HARDER Principal Faculty Members Share Knowledge Each member of the Class of 1961 has grown physically, spiritually, and mentally, some more than others. The desire to do the thing that is right because it is right has been strengthened. The Seniors of 1961 have contributed much to the school during their four years and the school is better because of their having been here. BERTHA ACHELPOHL Home Economics Asel W. Going into the sixth game ERHS was tripped up for its first defeat. The EAGLES were now in a tie for first place with Ellsworth. With three of the toughest games yet to play, the team started moving. Hoisington got in front of the movement and fell by the wayside as the EAGLES rolled past. A powerful Larned team caused the Big Birds to fall for the second time. In the last go-round of the season, the Lyons LIONS clawed fiercely at the EAGLES and the team was doomed, crashing to the ground in a 12-6 defeat. Win or lose the Eagle season was a successful one.
