After being nipped by Ellsworth in the last regular game of the sea- son, the Eagles emerged as co-champions of the CPL. The team won the Ellinwood Invitational early in the season, took second in the District Tournament and copped second in the regional play-offs. Arnie Link was named to the all-state team for th6 third straight year. Link, along with Larry Manning, was also chosen for the All- Area basketball five by the Topeka Daily Capital. Overall, the Eagles compiled an 18-win, 4-loss record for the season.
