YYlulic Onqanifation Rate Hiqh in Unteneat and Achievement The EHS Mixed Chorus, this year, was again directed by Mr. Banman. This group met in the Vocal Music Room on Tuesdays and Thursdays. At the District Festival they were one of the EUinwood entries that re- ceived a I rating. The Mixed Vocal Ensemble of '58 was a very active group. Composed of 15 members and their accompan- iest, they took a I at District Fes- tival and a II at State. They also performed for various civic organi- zations. This group is directed by Mr. Banman. This year's Boys Ensemble was made up of 13 members, their ac- companiest, and their director, Mr. Hamm. This group received a 11 at the District Festival. YMxed Chonun

ELLINWOOD HIGH SCHOOL BAND Unitnumental QnoupaPlay fjon This year's EHS band, composed of 66 members, had a very active season. They spent their Band Day at K. U. , and then later on they attended a band clinic at Lindsborg. They, also, received a I at district music festival. Leading the marching band this year were Connie Warren, drum majorette, with twirlers Carmen Graff, Sandy Robinson, Roberta Stevens, Marilyn Pohlman, and Mickie Brenn. Dance Band during '57-58 was similar to past years. The group played several times at the Eagles's Nest , and they exchanged dances with Stafford for the prom. The Pep Band, composed of those members who don't participate in athletics, played at all football and basketball games during the year. The Dixieland Band performed several times this year. Most of these were for civic organizations and church groups. 26
