Unvited to Pundue I Birthday of the Infanta, Ellinwood's contest-winning one-act play for the past two years, was selected by the National Thespian Society for presentation at Purdue Univer- sity in June. The Thespians staged The Glass Menagerie to help pay for the trip. Best Thespians were named at the annual banquet in the little theater. e and Fildes

. Samples ects One-Act Plaifi Ofjfien Vanietij Three one-act plays were presented by the Juniors and Seniors in place of the usual three act play. The cast for the play Com- ing Around the Mountain in- cluded Connie Warren as Daisy, Wally Jenisch as Zeke, Linda Hayes as Dynamite Ann, JoAnn Peter as Hortense, Imogene Meadows as Maw, Sandy Robinson as Millicent, Larry Manning as Carey and Tom Schroeder as Pop. Lois Wille was assistant director. The play Auto-de-Fe con- tained a cast of only two, a mother played by Joanita Triplett and her son, played by Duane Wilcox. Linda Fisher was assistant director. The third play, Man in the Bowler Hat, had in the cast Jim Roth as John, Nada Whet- stone as Mary, Bill Hallmark as Hero, Sandra Stacey as Heroine, Art Traugott as Chief Villian, Larry Wills a? The Ellinwood Chapter of Future Farmers of America closed out their fifth year of accomplishment at the fifth annual parent-son banquet. There were twenty-seven members in the chapter and many of them participated in District contests with five going to the state contest in Manhattan. The FFA officers during the year were Dick Doll, president; Ed Schloc- termeier, vice-president;, Kieth Hammeke, secretary; Larry Petz, treasurer, Dennis DeWerff, reporter and Larry Sief rs, sentinel. Mr. Cragun looks over Gary Muller's trailer Some outstanding projects turned out during the year were an ensilage loader by Terry Kowalsky, a four wheel trailer by Gary Muller, a garden tractor by Don Knop, a V-plow by Allen Bryant, a cultivator by Llewellyn Doll, a work stand by Doug Schneider, a hydraulic press by Ron Bieberle, a bale elevator by Stanley Isern, a stock trailer by Larry Petz, Ron Bieberle and Ed Schloctermeier and a four wheel trailer by Terry Kowalsky.
