THE STAFF ndr A touchdown in the last seconds of a game, the night a certain someone smiled into our eyes at a school dance, the thrill of a perfect performance in a class play, the sigh of relief a passing grade can bring------ all give us Moments to Remember. But there are other moments----------seme sad, a few even painful to recall-------that help to mold our character and shape our destiny. The teacher who firmly refuses to let us fall below his high standards the classmate who will not be dominated, our own failures and lost opportunities----these, too, are a part of our memories. So we, the staff, hope that this year's Eagle will be more than a mere catalogue of faces and events; that it will serve to remind us always of the triumphs, the failures, the joys, the sorrows, the knowledge, and the wisdom gained in these Moments to Remember. The lessons of the classroom make easier the lessons to be learned in the school of experience. Many fond memories and lasting friendships grow out of the associations of students and teachers in high school classes and activities. To the seniors, I extend every good wish for success and happiness. To those who remain awhile with us, I hope that we may continue to build together the spirit that is Ellinwood High School.
