Eighth grade graduation was a week after high school graduation. For both classes, baccalaureate was combined with commencement exercises, thus eliminating a separate baccalaureate service.

Several new fund raising projects were established. Among the most successful were a donkey basketball game and Battle of the Sexes, which were sponsored by the seniors. The annual awards day was discontinued and in its place were three awards ceremonies to which honorees and their parents were invited.
