LEARN IE-TALKIE Only The Brave Dare. Yes, only those students who didn't shy at what would be done in a club that gave hints of public speaking, dry bones to many, joined. The members of the Learnie-Talkie Club are learning ot voice their opinions to anyone who will listen. As it is election year, we can campaign on the nearest soap-box for our favorite candi- dates. All the arts that go toward making us better speakers are employed-pantomimes, charades, choral readings, monologues, disc jockeying, and other voice strengtheners. We have had several public performances. The tape recorder has given us more confidence in ourselves as speakers. XVe promise next to conquer the Mike Joyce Tucker as the first leader has been succeeded by Anna Mae Jones. Jefw THE AUDIO-VISUAL AIDS CLUB The purpose of the Audio-Visual Aids Club is to teach 'the use of the school's equipment to the students in the club. In the club we learn how to use the movie projector, slide projector, opaque projector, tape recorder and the microphone. We also learn how to clean and service the equip- ment and to operate it properly without causing any damage to it. The club's instructor is Mr. Jones. The club meets in the shop on Tuesday afternoon. W 'N NN' E 2 Q6
