Mrs. Alice Nygaard maintained a usable library for all EHS students. She trained girls in library work in her junior Librarians class. Mr. Olson Another new teacher! Coming from Twin Falls, Idaho, this was Mr. Rex Olson's first year here at EHS. He taught several classes in Biology and was assistant adviser to the Bulldog Guard. . X Nl . N d Mr. Rowley is ma' If anybody happened to notice a difference around EHS after spring vacation that was because our foot- ball coach, assistant basketball coach and typing teacher, Mr. Lloyd Stub Rowley had taken off for sunny California and Stanford University. Wluile in Ellensburg he was PE Coordinator for the Ellensburg Public Schools. Miss Shuck An ardent sports fan, our bookkeeping and typing teacher, Miss Anna B. Shuck, was sure to be seen at every game. She was adviser to Pep Club in their many activities. Mr. Snodgrass He was the man behind the many fine concerts put on by the EHS band. jack Snodgrass was band in- structor and adviser to many ensembles, the pep band, and the dance band. Besides spending many hours on the '59 Klahiam, he taught classes in Photography and Geometry, and was in charge of visual aids. Miss Klobucher Mr. Mr. A true pacifist! She had to be as adviser to the many activities of the Senior class. Besides this perilous task, Marian Klobucher taught Senior Composition and Literature. Labrecque Ou est le professeurg America est pulchra. From French to Latin, from first year to second, Gerard Labrecque's students study the fundamentals of French and Latin. Lindstrom He's been in close association with EHS for quite some time now. That is because Mr. Harold Lind- strom married a past Klahiam photography editor, Gloria Kensel. And then coming here as a teacher in 1957 he taught classes in chemistry and biology. He also supervised a special study group. Mrs. MacDonald A native of Ellensburg-a graduate of EHS, Mrs. Florence MacDonald taught the students of her Alma Mater composition and literature. She was activity adviser to the junior class. f4,

Mr. Trainor Sorenson Another alumni of EHS. this basketball coach, Mr. Stan Sorenson, taught classes in American history and U.S. Civics-in that way, at least a few girls got to know the only eligible bachelor teacher in school. He assisted Mr. Rowley in coaching the football team. Summerill A past EHS student teacher that came back this year as a full-fledged teacher! Peter Summerill taught four classes of art plus supervising a study hall and advising all our school dance decoration committees. Trainor New to our school, but not new to Ellensburg was Mr. john Trainor who came to us from Morgan junior High. Mr. Trainor taught classes in American His- tory, U.S. Civics, Business Law, and economics. He was advisor to the Bulldog Guard. Va ncil Out of Cook Canyon-to EHS comes Mr. Arley Van- cil in his green Chevy. He met each and every Senior daily in one of his World Past and Present Classes. Besides that required class, he was coach of the base- ball team and adviser to the Delphians. Mrs. Wilkins She was teacher of the future secretaries and business women. Mrs. Lina Wilkins gave her students an in- troduction to the business world as she taught the fundamentals of beginning and advanced shorthand and advanced typing.
