The students of E. H. S. gave their teams lots of confidence with their cheers at pep assemblies. FOREWORD The Spiral of Time . . . what connection does this have with the 1955 Klahiam? According to the dictionary, a spiral is a curve traced by a point mov- ing around an axis, and continually receding from a plane cutting the axis. For our purpose, the axis is Time, and the plane cutting the axis is the year 1912, the first year our Ellensburg High School building was used. The fixed point is E.H.S. itself . . . student body, and faculty. This yearbook was the last pro- duced in the old building, thus, the year 1955 was another plane cutting the spiral, marking the end of an era. From this concept, came our theme. Since an annual primarily tells the story of one year, contrasts, highlights, and typical happenings, of the years past has been left for the division pages. This is our book. We hope that it will help you to remember your high school days and old E.H.S., and that this Klahiam will always find a handy spot on your library shelf.
