AN DREOTTI Besides teaching geometry trigonometry algebra and physics Archie Andreotti also coached track and was a unior class counsellor. An alumnus of E.H.S. Mr. Andreotti attended C.W.C.E. then taught in the lower Yakima Valley before returning to Ellens- burg in 1955. MR. KIBBE Merle Kibbe taught geometrey, and photography. as well as being advisor of Klahiam and Cam Club, and director of Visual Aids. Mr. Kibbe attended the University of Washing- ton, Western Washington, and Ohio State Univer-A sity. 15

'wide eaciew 'v-if Mr. Barnhill Mr. Johnson Mr. Snell MR. BARNHILL Mr. Merle Barnhill taught Industrial Arts, broadening the program to include many new units this year. Fishing and hunting are two hobbies well known to all of his students. Mr. Barnhill attended S.W. Methodist College and Kansas State Teachers College, and had valuable industrial experience before coming to Ellensburg. MR. JOHNSON j. Arthur johnson taught agriculture in E.H.S. and was an advisor of Future Farmers of America. He attended the University of Washington and Washington State. Mr. johnson won an honorary American Farmers degree at the National Convention of F.F.A. in Kansas in the fall of '54. MR. SNELL jack Snell, an alumnus of E.H.S. was the new farm shop instructor and a F.F.A. advisor. Mr. Snell, a graduate of Washington State, taught agri- culture at Orting before coming back to E.H.S. He liked to farm, and enjoyed sports, when time per- mitted. MISS DUNSTON Marie Dunston taught art. She was probably bet- ter known by all of the students as the advisor who helped with the decorations for the junior Prom, the Senior Ball, Homecoming, Stage decorations for plays, posters and any last minute decorations. Miss Dunstan attended the University of Wash- ington and the University of California. 14 l 'z ' s Miss Dunstan Mrs. Nygaard MRS. NYGAARD Every E.H.S. student knew Alice Nygaard. Mrs Nygaard had only one class, that of library science she was always ready to help you find the right book magazine or reference. Mrs, Nygaard attended St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota, and the University Minne sota.

We helen 5 The first project of the Class of 'SSH was the Senior Play, The Doctor in Spite of Himself, which was held on November 17. On December 9 came the Senior aBll, with King Coral as the theme, In the spring, things began to move fast for all seniors. There was College Day and several meetings for College Bound Seniors as well as all the preparation for Commencement. With the cooperation of all the senior students the class was able to plan a very successful stunt night. Gradu- ation on May 20 concluded their twelve years of school. The officers of the most important class in school were: Nancy Courson, Presidentg Twylla Gibb, Secretaryg and Kathleen Meyer, Treasurer.
