PERSONNEL Our h1gh school l1fe IS not as carefree 1n thls war year of 1943 1944 as It was 1n the year 1939 when students looked ahead to some c1v1l1an occupat1on Now the boys 1n E H S look forward only to the1r m1l1tary l1fe and the g1r1s look ahead to Jobs 1n whlch they can best serve our country Increas1ng enroll ment 1n the more techmcal courses such as SOl1d hortage of teachers and the governmental requlre ments for classes manv of the faculty members have had to take on unaccustomed tasks The delayed open1ng of school due to the need for student labor 1n the corn harvest and the resultmg curta1l ment of vacatlons were perhaps the most d1ff1cult problems wlth whlch our personnel had to cope for they rea11zed that golng to school contlnuously for such a long per1od of t1me would be far from easy However 1f 1n these ways they can somehow a1d the war effort the faculty and students of Ellensburg Hlgh School w1ll gladly do so' geometry and physics is noticeable.
