6'1rls' Athletic Assocfhrlbn . . . The Girls Athletic Association, organized in 1943, has as its main purpose the planning and organizing of a girls' intramural sports program. It promotes enthusiasm in world sports. Some of the sports the girls participate in are volley-ball, skating and dancing. The G. A. A. is composed of approximately 50 girls ranging from grades 7 through 12. The officers for the year are: President Joan Thompson, Vice-President Louise Thompson, Recording Secretary Norrine Thompson, Secretary Donna Wayne, and Treasurer Kay Shaw. Dues are collected each year and from this awards are purchased. Several parties are given during the year, such as a Sadie Hawkins party, Valentine, and Christmas party. This year it consists of 21 members, all of whom are very active in sports. The purpose of the Lettermen's Club is to get the boys interested in sports, such as basketball, football, and baseball.
