The theme of the Prom was Tee Castlesâ and the colors were light blue, dark blue, and white. The Junior class was ad ised by Mr. BalK ' ock. Page 12 1. They accumulated a record of 7-2. Coach Alger was veiy proud of all the team work the team had. The captains thought they had a fairly good season and wished they could have reached the State playoffs. The Homecoming game was the final test The players worked hard, but they were defeated by a good Linton Lions team. The fans gave the team support and this helped them to have a good year. The fans really supported the team. Come rain or shine, they were there, backing the Cards. The TBI studentsâ support was an asset to the winning season. They brought down busloads to back up the team. A new idea, a snake dance, was added for the Homecoming game. The fans ran single file, holding hands and cheering from the school to the field and created a lot of enthusiasm. The whole town was very proud of the team. GRADUATION A Time For Tears On May 26th, 1983 ,34 students slowly walked down the center of the g Tn, some searching for their friends and relatives, others anticipating the event that was about to take place. Mixed feelings are a part of graduation; the joy of completing the many years of school, sadness in leaving good friends, and apprehension as to what the future holds. âą As the ceremony progresses, many thoughts go through the minds of the graduates. The tears are impossible to hold back for some, as we realize this is the end of all our gcxxl times together. The government tests we crammed for, the games we cheered at, the hours we talked and laughed when we were supposed to stud and all the times we were late for class, are all in the past We know we should be happy to escape what was so often referred to as a prison, but ... As we huny out, the tears gush, but no longer do we tiy to stop them. In our last moment together as a class, we thre ' our hats in the air and shouted in Jubilation! 1. Wanda gazes at the stage, while Adam thinks about the ceremony. 2. Chuck âAbout time!â Sandra â le eâs Mom?â 3. Chosen by the class, Alysen reminisces of times passed. 4. Michelle, co-salutatorian, speaks on the future. 5. Kay and Paul sang a moving duet, âI Want To Li â 6. Paula Olson, vraledictorian, told our teachers and parents how much we appreciate them. 71 1983 Redbird [High School Annual, Ellendale North Dakota] 1.
