Student Coun¬ cil Tries Some New Ideas The Student Council is comprised of students ranging from 7th to 12th grade. They represent the classes, band, industrial arts, cheerleaders, and chorus. In November, four representa¬ tives were sent to the State Student Council Convention in Bismarck where new ideas were exchanged. Homecoming week and the Snoball Dance were organized by the council. In December, a Christmas Party was held for the entire high school. Games, races, and refreshments were held in the g ' m to finish the 1981 school year before Christmas vacation. A special group from the council was selected to work with the cooks to help them plan meals. Student Council members sold concessions at the wrestling tournaments. They were advised by Mr. Longtin and Mr. Hansen. Lower Left - The chain game at the 1981 High School Christmas Party. THE SNOBALL The Snobtdl Dance was held Friday night, March 12. Even though it was held late in the year, snow was still on the ground. Powerhouse Disco provided the music. Door prizes such as records and food certificates were drawn throughout the evening. Kim Brandenburger and Shane Martin were crowned King and Queen. The dance was sponsored by the student council. HEALTHY BODIES The FHA theme for this year was Healthy Bodies and Community Awareness. The goeils of each theme were reached by providing favors for the nursing homes, supporting the Centennial, and holding aerobic dance classes. The District rally was held in Enderlin. Diane Millerran for District President and Deb Radtke was elected District Reporter. The state convention held in Bismarck was attended by Diane Miller, Alysen Dunn, and Paula Olson. Other activities included cake decorating, ice skating, pizza party, serving at the RTA banquet and a style show. Left - Lkmna Schmidt and Deb Hukana instructing the aerobics dance class.
