Active Year for Band The band performed in Aberdeen for Gypsy Days and in Ellendale for the Memorial Day Parade and the Centennial Parade. They entertained on the football field at half time during the Homecoming Game. The pep band kept active during the season by playing at the various athletic events. They traveled to Valley City for the district boys’ basketball game. The concert band performed at Christmas and the Spring Concert Miss Mary Dieke was the director. CARDINAL The Cardinal staff had a busy year putting together the school paper. The journalism class help ed with the paper during the first semester. They published six issues throughout the year. The staff consisted of Editor Rita Miller, Jr. Editor Sandra Schaller, Reporter Diane Miller, Typist Hope Houghton and Artist Terry Farthing. Mr. Masset was the advisor.
