MAT MASTERS Cardinals Advance Four To State Tournament The wrestlers, coached by Brian Henson, had a very competitive season. Captains were Loren Dathe and Scot Brandenburger. From district tournaments Erik Sand, Dale Kurth, Mark Bonlek, and Doug Robb advanced to state competition, where Doug placed sixth. PAGE 22 TOP LEFT- Loren Dathe in his moment of victory. BOYS’ BASKETBALL Cards Keep Cowbell The Cardinals A-Squad boys ' basketball season ended with a 8-15 record. The Cardinal victory over Oakes resulted In the EHS possession of the cowbell for another year. At District competition, after a hard-fought game with three overtimes, the Cards lost to LaMoure, 62-64, placing fourth. High point man for the season was John Heine with 202 total game points.
